Dray Design

Dray Design was founded in 2002 and has designed and developed dozens of websites for clients in and around Cobourg and Port Hope, throughout Northumberland County, Ontario, and across Canada and the United States. We have clients in Ottawa, Toronto, and Calgary, and many points in between.

A group of fellow Internet professionals has recognized Dray Design for excellence and achievement in the ever expanding Internet marketplace by awarding us the Canadian Web Award. Dray Design is also winner of The Golden Web Award, presented by The International Association of Web Masters and Designers.

In 2010 Dray Design received from the Northumberland Chamber of Commerce a nomination for Business of the Year in the field of Communication and Technology.

Duane Schermerhorn

Owner and Chief Designer Duane Schermerhorn has over twenty years experience in information technology. He has been responsible for leading the adoption of new technology at a number of Canada's largest and most successful financial institutions, where he has ensured that the company's technology goals and strategies are supportive of the overall business strategy.

Duane has contributed to the information technology literature with conference presentations, teaching, and reviews of books on technology (e.g., Data Warehouse: From Architecture to Implementation) and business strategy (e.g., Corporate Culture and Performance).

Don't assume that Duane's strong technology background will mean that he cannot understand and deal with your non-technical or artistic needs. For number of years Duane earned his living as a writer. In addition to three published novels and a book of poetry, he has written screenplays, a play, rock lyrics, and book and movie reviews.

In 2011, he was invited to read his poetry at Poetry Z'Own, the Poetry Festival held in Northumberland County.

In January 2011, Duane received the Cobourg Civic Award for his volunteer work for the Arts.
